What Is The Peace Colloquy

The Peace Colloquy is a gathering focused on justice, dialogue, and action. In Fall 2025, we address houselessness in the Kansas City metro, emphasizing collaboration and systemic change. While this event is sponsored by Community of Christ, it is a collaborative event made up of leaders and influencers in work and lived experiences around houselessness across the KC metro.

Why Houselessness

Houselessness is driven by economic injustice, policy failures and systemic exclusion. To create meaningful solutions, we must listen to and uplift those with lived experience. On average, 2,200 people each night sleep on the streets in Kansas City.

What To Expect:

– Collaborative Action: On Site resources, including housing support, healthcare and legal aid.

– Amplified Voices: Local speakers, artists and advocates sharing stories and solutions.

– Faith & Secular Partnerships: Bridging diverse communities to drive change.

Our Commitment

Shift the Narrative – Challenge stigma and expose systemic failures.

Promote Dignity – Recognize lived experience as expertise.

Create Actionable Change – Develop solutions informed by those most affected.

Mutal & Institutional Accountability – Demand policies that prioritize people over punishment.
